I've sold all types of real estate during the last 4 decades in California, Vegas & Austin! My very first real estate listing was an oceanfront home on West Cliff Drive in Santa CruzI Since then I've worked with hundreds of buyers and sellers in three states and experienced nearly every situation imaginable. In fact I have stories you wouldn't believe about my experiences selling homes, commercial property & LAND in Vegas during early 2000's and Residential, Rural & Property Management in Austin TX during 2000-2008!
As an independent real estate broker, I've always been open to negotiating my services with my buyer and seller clients. Not every home or situation is the same--there should be no standard percentage or amount that is universal--nor should it necessarily be based on the list price of the home. I've found that the compensation for services I provide are in line the knowledge I've gained over 30+ years that will provide the solution for the sale or purchase that a specific client has--not the amount of time it took or fixed percentage of the sales price of the home.
My home has always been California. I currently live in Lake Wildwood (Penn Valley) and have closed the sale of two homes here in 2023. Since 2014 I've specialized in sales of mobile and manufactured homes and the communities where they are located (both 55+ and all age). For one year I managed a 200-home 55+ mobile home community and I have owned 12 mobile homes myself. My hobby is renovating mobile homes, so I know quite a bit about how they are built in addition to what it's like living in a mobile home community (I've lived in 7 so far!) When it comes to rules & regulations, contracts and challenges of mobile home living I can be a great resource!
I earned my MBA (Master's in Business Administration in 1991 at Santa Clara University) and have been involved with high technology, marketing and the internet since the 70's when I started my career with Hewlett-Packard. I still develop a website or two through my company Absolute Marketing (founded in 1997) but mostly I put my internet marketing and branding experience to work as a listing specialist when selling my client's homes. I still produce and edit my own virtual tours and have an archive of many of those on my YouTube Channel. During 2011-2021 I served on the Board of the Newcastle Area Business Association and hope to be nominated for another NABA Board position in 2024.
